![]() ![]() Sadly all the usual issues of being narrow and gold apply and so I can't see it lasting in cube. A couple more Boros flavoured Omens and Saga, a Spellbomb or so and you could absolutely have a deck that consistently cast this with 3 or more targets at a suitable point in the game. There probably isn't quite enough support in my cube for this but it is pretty close. Your big refuel cards are the things you play last. It is certainly a late game card but that is generally fine. As a 3 for 1 it is fine, 4 for 1 it is great and a full 5 for 1 it is getting pretty filthy. This is still efficiently enough cost card advantage when two off the mark. Refill your hand and blow up a creature/planeswalker/player.Ĭasting First day of Class from the graveyard with Efreet Flamepainter let’s you do rude stuff like adding extra +1 counters to the elementals from magma opus and play flame celebrant on the 2nd main phase after drawing into it.Wow, a five for one in Boros! If Kaldheim hadn't just given us Showdown of the Skalds I would be far more impressed with this. The 5 life isn’t super big in my opinion, it usually buys you one turn.īut the draw 5 cards and deal 5 to anything is huge. It’s a nice card, expensive at 7 mana but with the treasure ramp you can easily cast it on turn 5 or 6. I only have 2 copies of inspired ultimatum at the moment and would probably run 3 copies. There’s a good amount of draw power, I found that with ] I could easily throw down the Efreet Flamepainter on turns 4, 5 or 6 and swing for player damage to proc the effect.įlame celebrant also doubles as some pseudo control, against a control matchup it forces the opponent to either commit a whole turn to no casting or they waste 2-3 mana and a counter spell on Revel in Silence the flip side of the card. Sideboard 3 ] (STX) 108Īgainst u/B control with hand disruption this deck can struggle if they know what to get rid of and you get some bad draws.įlame celebrant with flame thrower sonata and prismari command + rip apart gives you plenty of burn for early to late game and gives you removal for artifacts and enchantments (looking at you noodle-bird bastard). Jeskai Shaman (whoopises always forget to format lol) Here’s the revised list (Best of one format) I desperately need some more rare lands and I think that’s where I’m having problems getting color screwed. Hey I’ve been playtesting the deck and I think this might be the most solid version to play if you have the cards. I’ve been considering removing Galezeth Prismari and adding an Embercleave instead which could laughably be cast on Turn 4 or 5 with this combo.Ģ ] (STX) 160 Here’s my own deck list, most of it is pretty mainstream except the Efreet. I usually play Historic Jeskai and if you like casting those gearhulks this combo will feel familiar. I’ve managed to swing this combo a few times and everytime it lands I win after a few turns it just generates huge card advantage. ![]() If you realize your playing against a control matchup, you can simply prismari Command on Turn 3 instead of casting Efreet Flamepainter, then on turn 4 you have 2 mana open for negate due to treasure. ![]() It equates to either a 6/7 point swing on turn 4, Drawing 1-2 cards or creating 2 more 4/4 beaters. I only have 2 copies of EF but with 4 copies it works out to 1:4 so your likely to draw the combo in your opening hand. I just reached Diamond and am pushing up to Mythic, I’ve been goofing around with some of my cards.Įfreet Flamepainter can be played on Turn 3 off Magma Opus, Creative Outburst and Elemental Masterpiece. ![]()
